San Antonio Texas

San Antonio Texas

The Alamo, the different missions and so much more. Sight seeing in San Antonio was fun but eye opening. Some of the locations were not as large as expected, like the Alamo. But others were better than we had thought and are still in use today, the different missions. The Mexican influence was everywhere as would be expected, even more than I had thought but I didn’t know of all of the history until we heard it from the tour guides. The camp site that we were using was in a unique location situated on the Riverwalk. We cycled up to the city from our campsite approximately 5 miles and enjoyed walking around. We had the opportunity to show the Riverwalk area to some friends who stopped in to see us during their trip to Houston and tailgating at the SuperBowl.
