6 cups cubed, peeled turnip
2 eggs beaten
1/4 cup butter, melted
3 tbsp all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
Pinch of pepper and nutmeg
1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
Cook turnip until tender, drain
Mash Turnip; blend in eggs and 2 tbsp butter
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, pepper and nutmeg
Add to turnip mixture and mix well
Blend breadcrumbs with remaining butter and sprinkle over turnip mixture
Bake at 325 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden
